Special Indoor Cycling Program

Excel in Cycling

EIC workouts are not “feel good, trendy” kinds of workouts, nor are they “indoor race-every-weekend workouts” conducted on a spinning bike or with CompuTrainers. EIC workouts are physically demanding and mentally challenging. Learning to ride like a smooth, technically proficient road cyclist means you must train like one. Your elite cycling coach, Pete Gladden, has amassed over 30 years as a competitive cyclist and multi-sport athlete, and nearly 16 years as a coach.

EIC classes are set up to accommodate six different ability levels, enabling you to train with your peers - road cyclists, duathletes, triathletes, mountain bikers and recreational riders. You will be riding your own bike on a stationary trainer in a very motivating environment where music is played through a professional sound system and DVD cycling videos are projected onto a 10-foot high wall.

Professional Photographer

Peter Gladden is a self-taught photographer. In 1992, after spending two years at Kent State University studying under the late Charlie Brill in the photojournalism department, Pete decided to forego more classes and jumped straight into freelance work with several sports magazines, most notably Runner's World, Running Times, and Triathlete Magazine. When several of the magazines requested text to go with the pictures, he soon found himself immersed in writing as well.

Within several years of freelancing he was traveling around the world filming and writing about such events as the Raid Gauloises, the Run Across Finland, Powerman Switzerland , the Finland-Russia Relay, and reporting on numerous cycling, triathlon and running races.
